We all go though it. As you know I have had some serious shoulder pain the last few weeks. At times I thought I should just go get it checked out at the doctor. Well at the gym last week a guy told me about this stuff called Horse Liniment. It's ointment that is put on race horses before they race on their joints and can be purchased on line or a farm & feed store. Well if you are old enough to remember the Asorbine Jr commercials that's the same stuff. The other day I came across this at a local Rite Aid. I gotta say it worked amazingly. I still wanna get the other stuff because I feel it may be a little stronger. But so far this stuff has been awesome.

C4 Extreme
Going over the supplement I use I decided to go more in depth with them. I will start with my favorite, C4 Extreme. A quick run down on it. I take it 30 minutes before I get to the gym. It does have Creatine in it so if you are trying to avoid that supplement then this isn't for you, however, it is only one gram.
Flavor
I have yet to have a bad flavor. So far my favorite if I had to pick on would be Orange. But I have had Fruit Punch, Pink Lemonade, and Blue Raspberry. They all tasted great.
Effectiveness
This is what it all boils down to for me. I don't really car how it taste as long as it is effective. Like I said I take it 30 minutes before the gym. My workout starts with cardio, burning 500-1000 calories. Then I move on to lifting where I do 5-6 exercises. I have yet to lose any energy. In fact, I have added cardio to the end of my work out where I get on the Elliptical for 20 minutes as a cool down. You can see why this is my favorite product
Side Effect
I have not had any and I have been using it for a month straight. Thats not to say there isnt any because like I said it does have creatine so make sure you read the label and know whats in it before you start it.
Highly Recommend
I cant stress enough how important it is for a person working out to be able to finish their work out. Going into the gym and half assing it isnt going to do much for you. This products has helped me get throught 2 hour workouts no problem at all. I am going to give away a free canister of this on my twitter account so please hit that follow button to the left or click here https://twitter.com/Abs_Are_Burning.
Also if you would like to purchase your own check out the people below. Great prices and awesome shipping.

AB Night was GREAT!
So last night the AB workouts went really good. Amber had been in AB pain last week but was able to get it done. We started out with Torso Rotations to get our Oblique’s warmed up at 3 sets each. We then moved over to the seated crunch and knocked out another 3 sets. Leg raises were the one I was most worried about. Well they went great, Amber did have a little struggle but not because she couldn’t do a leg raise, she actually rocked those, her arms kept sliding off. After that, we did the seated AB crunch for 3 sets.
Over all it was a great night. I did hit 900 calories burned on the treadmill before we even started so we pretty much rocked it!
Twitter Time
Ok since I was half asleep last night posting I wanted to come back and repost this. I have added a twitter account to my nerdness. I am working on getting it up where I want so I’m going to need followers. I have added a follow me button to the left side of this blog. I am going to start posting some really interesting things on Twitter as well as every blog update I have. So if you have a Twitter account hit that button to the left like it’s your job. Thanks
Quick update...
AB workout was great. I'll post more tomorrow but for now I leave you a sweaty picture and me going to bed...

AB Insanity Starts Tonight...
Tonight is the first of a 2 night a week AB work out. Normally I would just do crunches and be done with it. Now that I am focusing on this on my hard cardio days (Tuesday and Thursday) I am going to do a little more isolation and quite a few more than just one exercise. I do want to change each AB muscle with each exercise for rest. I am hoping it’s going to look something like this.
Exercise #1 – Will be the normal crunches. I will add weights to it though.
Exercise #2 – Will go with working on Oblique’s. There is a machine that works wonders for this so I hoping to add it here.
Exercise #3 – Machine Crunches is what I am looking at here
Exercise #4 – I need something here for lower AB muscles, maybe leg raises.
Now I do have others I want to add in. I want 6 total but I want to work with it when I get in there so I will blog back on what I added and how well it worked. Also going over my hard cardio days. Last week on these days I did over 1000 calories on the treadmill each day. I am not sure if I will go that extreme with adding these exercises but I will at least do 30-45 minutes on either the treadmill or elliptical.
Gym rocked!
Despite the shoulder pain, the gym was amazing tonight. I got to do some incline bench with little pain. Trying to sculpt everything after weight loss is a pain. Tomorrow night is the start of a crazy ab work out I am putting together for Amber and I. If I feel great about it after I will share. Off to bed for me but I will leave you with a little flex :)
P.S. I'm not a fan of blogging from my iPhone...

Back at it tonight....
Back at the gym tonight. My shoulder is killing me so I am not sure how well it’s going to be as far as me lifting. Either way I’m going to shred it in cardio. Hopefully I can at least rock the biceps. 4 months till Florida so it’s GO TIME fuckers.
PS: I really won’t watch what I say in this blog!

Supplements
A lot of talk about supplements goes around and people either love them or hate them. I personally love them. You do have to use caution when taking them though. Educate yourself on which ones can stack with others and other combinations you should avoid. I will go over my stack and feel free to add/ask anything. First thing I do is take victims when I wake up. A multivitamin (Men’s Health for me), fish oil (for heart health), and a green tea pill (for healthy cell production). On non workout days I will also take 5grams of Creatine with these.
Pre-workout
90 minutes before I workout I load up with NO3 Chrome. What is No3 Chrome? In the technically sense NO3 is a Nitrate—an advanced compound that delivers unbelievable muscle pumps and amplifies the effectiveness of anything it’s co-ingested with. NO3 Chrome utilizes NO3 in the form of Arginine Nitrate—a fusion of L-Arginine and Nitric Acid. Combining these two efficient and powerful vasodilators generates unmatched NO levels in the body, giving you the long lasting, unbelievable pumps.
In laymen terms, its opens up your blood vessels for more blood flow during workouts.
20 minutes before I workout I will take C4 Extreme. There really isn’t no technical terms for this. Its pretty much energy and that is meant to go with NO3. It’s a little scoop in 6oz of water. I like to refer to it as legal workout crack. It doesn’t give me jitters and there really isn’t a crash. Just know before you take that it does have 1 gram of Creatine in it.
After working out I will take 5gram of Creatine.
My workouts have benefited from this greatly. Amber even takes the C4 and loves it. I do at least 8 different exercises at the gym and sometime 4 sets on some and they are all done with no fatigue.
Last thing I want to add. When you are taking supplements make sure you are drinking tons of water. I drink closely to 100oz a day. Granted you will piss every 17 seconds you still need to drink water water water!!!
Pictures
I do plan on posting pictures in this blog but for now I really don't have any so I will just add a simple one.... Taken yesterday
Eating...
Before I go much further in this blog I want to go over the diet I use. First off let me just say I literally hate the word “diet”. To me this is not a phase I am going through, it’s something I will always do for the rest of my life. So going with that let’s start with this daily routine. Like I said in an earlier post my schedule is really out of the norm so I usually don’t wake up until 12ish. For breakfast I have a smoothie. I suggest a low carb smoothie. If you have a Smoothie King near you they sell an amazing low carb smoothie mix called Gladiator. After the smoothie I will have a snack which is usually around 4pm (all depending on the time I got up and had breakfast).
The snack of choice for me is almonds. Sometimes it is pepperonis, which are Amber’s favorites, but I normally stick with almonds. There is plenty of great snacks out there and I have other options but until I just get sick of almonds it what I’m sticking with, they are just convenient for me. Lunch comes next and it is usually around 6pm. 99% of the time I have a turkey wrap or a wrap of some kind. For dinner which hits around 8pm at night it is a protein (chicken breast, salmon, pork) and a vegetable (Broccoli, green beans, greens). I am going to start adding another smoothie in place of a meal. I am wanting to switch the dinner out to a smoothie to light the load I eat late at night. Even though it’s not late to me since I am not going to bed until 3 or 4am.
This pretty much sums up the norm for my eating. I do have days (some weekends) where I eat stuff I shouldn’t. Its ok and everyone should take the time and reward themselves with things like this. It helps avoid burn out and gives you something to look forward to. Just don’t go crazy and eat up everything you have worked for that week. I will admit it does take some serious discipline and will power sometimes but it is very worth it.
So it begins...
The nerd in me has over thrown the "to cool to make a work out blog" personality so here it is. With this I will post workouts I use, progress, pictures, and anything else to entertain the extremely small amount of people that follow this. To get this started I guess a back ground will be needed.
Well I work evenings so my workouts will come unconventional. I get off work at 11 at night and I am usually in the gym by 11:20. I work out at least 2 hours on average so I am not home until around 1ish. On top of that I am a full time student working on my B.A. in Information Technology. I am with an amazing woman, her name is Amber and you will hear a lot of talk about her here. She workouts with me, she motivates me, she rocks!
Now that we have got a little bit of me out of the way lets go when this change for me started. I use to always be in great shape, but over the past years I have really let myself go. I use to come home and play video games until 5 in the morning. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE video games but I love being healthy more. So after the Superbowl this year Amber and I decided it was really time for a change. So on Feb 5th, 2013 we changed! Our diet was the main focus at first. We drop our carb intake to 30 a day, our sugar went to zero grams, and we started looking for high protein foods. I wasn’t worried about calories as much after reading some articles about how bad carbs were for you. Well at the time I was hovering between 265 and 270. Well I am easily 30lbs lighter today and Amber is having the same success.
So with all that I will keep this updated as much as I can and any new information I get I will definitely post. Feel free to comment on anything and everything. Any workout tips are always appreciated.
